Blogging Ecosystem: The Next GenerationThe ecosystem will soon be much more frequently updated, and include many more links. Try it out on the development server: Stats | Find your blog. Enjoy! (Don't panic if those links aren't working - they go to a PC in a living room in New Zealand. They'll point to the real server when it's ready for prime time.) Introducing the Internet Topic ExchangeThere's a new way to categorise your posts and work together with other bloggers to create a huge repository of data: the Topic Exchange. The ecosystem was retired on 16 June 2003, when the number of blogs in the world started to explode, and this little hobby project collapsed under the strain. Conveniently, the Technorati Top 100 still exists, so head over there for all your online popularity contest needs! Scanned 64968 blogs. This is the Blogging Ecosystem, run by Phil of Second p0st. Start reading from here for more info. The original idea came from The Truth Laid Bear, who has since gone on to other things. Want to know how this is all generated and how to get at the dataset? Quick intro: The number in brackets to the right of a blog name is the number of links. In the 'most links' column, this is the number of people who have linked to this blog. In the 'most prolific linkers' column, this is the number of links TO other people's blogs. The 'S' link gives you the specific stats for the relevant blog, and the 'C' links to a cached copy of the page used to generate all this. |
